Katie Alexander is a junior studying political science and economics at Truman State University. Katie has been an elected member of the Student Government since her freshman year and currently serves as Vice President. Katie is interested in a career in public policy and enjoys studying the intersection between politics, economics, and philosophy. She is especially interested in fiscal policy and recently completed a research project studying measures to service the federal debt. Outside of academics, Katie spent a year running mid-distance track on the varsity team and still enjoys running in her free time. Katie is also involved at the Catholic Newman Center on campus and served as a missionary for the Catholic Church in the summer of 2019. Katie is grateful to participate in the Congress and is excited to work with students from across the country.
