David Mesta is a junior Communication Studies and Political Science Major at MNSU, Mankato and is from Faribault, MN. David is involved on campus as the Student Government Public Relations & Marketing coordinator and a member of Latinx Student Union. David previously served as the LeadMN Vice President where he launched the LeadMN emergency grant program to help students facing food insecurity during the pandemic and worked with student leaders from across the state to craft the LeadMN legislative agenda to address student issues while also meeting and testifying to state and federal legislatures to push for better policies like the hunger free campus act, Minnesota college mental health awareness act, and free college grants. In his free time, David enjoys going out with friends and watching WWE. David is excited to represent Minnesota at the 2023 College Student Congress.
