Catherine Carter is a junior at North Carolina State University, majoring in political science and minoring in Spanish. She is a College of Humanities and Social Sciences Dean’s Scholar and a member of the University Honors Program. She serves as a Chancellor’s Aide and University Ambassador. Catherine co-founded and is the co-director of a 501(c)3 nonprofit called Lux Resources that supports survivors of sexual violence through providing legal resources. Catherine interned for Congresswoman Deborah Ross (NC-02) in the summer of 2022, then completed a co-op as a full-time staffer for Congresswoman Ross in the fall of 2022. She hopes to rejoin Congresswoman Ross’s legislative team in DC upon her graduation in 2024.
