Andrew de las Alas (he/him) is a junior studying International Affairs, Sociology, and Asian American Studies at Washington University in St. Louis. On campus, Andrew has been deeply involved in the Asian community, serving as co-president of Asian Multicultural Council and organizer in Asians Demanding Justice. Additionally, Andrew was elected to student government as Vice President of Engagement where he supports public relations and advocacy. Off campus, Andrew works as staff for the Missouri Asian American Youth Foundation. In his role, he supports civic engagement outreach for over 10,000 Asian voters, meets with state representatives, and hosts community programming for mental health awareness. He also worked with ACLU-MO and St. Louis County Public Defender. In his free time, Andrew competes on the mock trial team, reads fantasy novels, and practices his cooking skills.
