Cal Hale is a junior at the University of Vermont, studying Geography and Political Science. He has worked on numerous political campaigns in Vermont, Minnesota, and New Hampshire, most recently managing Vermont State Senate Majority Leader Alison Clarkson’s successful re-election campaign in 2020, and served as a legislative aide to the Vermont State Senate Democratic Caucus in 2021. Cal is particularly interested in rural development and Vermont culture and is currently researching migration into Vermont during the Covid-19 pandemic with Dr. Cheryl Morse in the University of Vermont’s Geography Department. When he is not at school, Cal lives in Hartland, Vermont with his parents, sister, and yellow lab, and enjoys hiking, skiing, hot air ballooning, going on adventures, and following the Boston Red Sox in his free time.
