Rhode Island – Emily Colon

Emily Colon is a junior at Brown University studying Political Science and is originally from Taunton, Massachusetts. At Brown, Emily is a Department Undergraduate Leader for the Political Science Department, a research analyst for the Brown Initiative for Policy, and a copy editor for the Brown Political Review. Additionally, Emily has been a member of the Brown University Cheerleading team for three seasons and currently serves as the junior captain. In her free time, Emily enjoys listening to music, completing the daily Wordle, and spending time with loved ones. Through her coursework and internship at the Rhode Island Public Defender’s Office, Emily has gained a passion for working to reduce mass incarceration. After Brown, Emily aspires to attend law school and become a public interest lawyer!
