Kira Haile is a student at the University of Idaho where she is studying political science and philosophy. She first discovered an interest in policymaking after participating in congressional debate with her high school debate team, but her passion only grew from there. This interest is what pushed Kira to pursue a major in political science, a decision she made just weeks before school started, rather than her original plan of mechanical engineering. Kira plans to apply her passion for change in her career, as she plans to practice public interest law. She was born in Meridian, Idaho, and loves to hammock and listen to music in her free time. As an Idaho native, Kira is delighted to be representing her home state in the 2023 College Student Congress!
