Majoring in political science and economics with minors in French and security and intelligence analysis, Kylie hopes to utilize her studies and language skills to make a difference in the fields of international development and conflict stabilization. As someone born and raised in Oklahoma, Kylie is passionate about forefronting local communities which she believes are essential to achieving widespread sustainable development that addresses the root causes of challenges such as poverty, communal violence, and infrastructural inadequacies. She intends to pursue a dual MS/MPP with a concentration in international development and subfields in conflict and humanitarian response. Kylie conducts original research on the economic predictors of political violence on the African continental level using innovative methods to focus on local levels of analysis. In her free time, Kylie enjoys baking, traveling, and crocheting.
