Leoshina Kariha is a junior Political Science major at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo. She also serves as a member of Pi Sigma Alpha. This past Fall, Leoshina worked as a full-time intern with the office of Congressman Kaiali’i Kahele, serving Congressional District 2 for the State of Hawai’i. She hopes to become a diplomat or politician in future and use her knowledge from studies to facilitate cross-cultural connections and networks to guide her in her work in the Pacific Region with the intention of strengthening U.S. pacific relations. In addition to being a student, she enjoys contemporary island dancing and writing.
