Devon Severson is a senior at the University of Minnesota double majoring in political science and global studies with minors in Spanish studies and environmental policy. She has concentrations on human rights and Latin America. She has worked in several community organizing roles, notably with Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Bernie 2020. She was the Vice President of the Human Rights Student Association and Project Recognize, a group focused on de-stigmatizing homelessness and providing resources to people experiencing homelessness. Devon has conducted research on un-investigated disappearances in Mexico, social issues in Latin dance, and white nationalism and Mexican immigration. She has spent the past three semesters studying abroad in Peru and Puerto Rico. Her goal is to work for a multinational organization, such as the United Nations, or an international non-governmental organization focused on human rights policy in Latin America.
