Alyssa Nazarok is a senior global studies major with a double major in political science. She is originally from Northfield, New Jersey. Alyssa is captain of the women’s soccer team, president of the Young Democrats, and vice president of the Stubblefield Institute Advisory council. During her time at Shepherd, she has been able to hold multiple internships including working as an outreach intern for WV-Free and as a campaign intern for Cathy Kunkel who ran for Congress in WV district two. Alyssa is passionate about civility in politics and issues surrounding poverty in America. She hopes to get a master’s degree in public policy in hopes of working to help alleviate some of the issues intertwined with poverty in her future. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and kayaking with her family and friends.
