Amaya Hirata is a junior at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, double majoring in Administration of Justice and Political Science. They are the president of the Political Science Club on campus and have planned a few events for students. They are also currently interning at a family law firm. Their career goals include getting into law school and practicing either family or environmental law. Amaya comes from a big family, being number five out of seven kids. In their free time, Amaya likes to bake or cook, play basketball, and most importantly be surrounded by friends and family. Amaya is excited to represent their home state of Hawai’i in the Henry Clay Center College Congress.
