Anna Judson is a junior Legal Studies major at the University of California, Berkeley. Anna’s academic background explores the intersection of law, public policy, and human rights and provides a unique lens to troubleshoot and fight injustice. Her deepest passion is providing services to system-impacted communities, specifically those who have experienced foster care or incarceration. Since the beginning of COVID-19, she has worked as a peer advisor with the Berkeley Hope Scholars (BHS) to provide services to current and prospective students in the program. One of her proudest successes since coming to college has been expanding BHS’s virtual outreach to support more students from the child-welfare system in applying to college. It is Anna’s strongest belief that system-impacted individuals deserve the chance to succeed and thrive. In the coming months, she is thrilled to begin applying to law school and continuing to fight for systemic change.
