Austin Trotter is a junior at the University of Oregon studying political science with an interest in international relations. Austin has always possessed a deeply-held passion for history and politics and has recently decided to set his aims on a career in the federal government. International cooperation on matters of security and climate change are of particular importance to him. At the U of O, Austin spent the months leading up to the November midterm elections working with OSPIRG to register new voters around campus and to generally increase interest and participation in the electoral process. Currently, Austin is mulling a campaign to run for a Senate seat in the U of O student government this spring. A Eugene boy born-and-raised, Austin enjoys spending time outdoors camping or hiking. He also spends his free time reading, watching sports, and playing guitar.
