My name is Haley Helton, and I am originally from Hickory, North Carolina. I am currently a junior at the University of Hawaii at Manoa majoring in Political Science and American Studies. I am a member of the Manoa Scholars Club, the Manoa Pre-Law Association, and the Hawaii Alpha Chapter of Pi Gamma Mu. I interned for U.S. Senator Brian Schatz this past fall, and I am currently volunteering with the Hawaii Innocence Project. I aspire to attend law school, become a practicing attorney, and hopefully specialize in criminal law where I aim to help those who are disadvantaged by our unfair criminal justice system. In my free time I enjoy being with my friends and family, going to the beach, reading, and watching classic movies. I am excited to represent Hawaii in the 2022 College Student Congress!
