Jaxon Porterfield is a senior at the University of Wyoming majoring in political science and gender & women’s studies with minors in queer studies and statistics. On campus they have worked closely with student government, founded a chapter of the Students for Sensible Drug Policy, revitalized organizations for queer identified students, and are the current president of their college policy debate team. Within their community Jaxon has volunteered for Devine Eats to provide meals and fundraise for local organizations and causes. Jaxon intends to continue with their passion for involvement following their graduation in the spring of 2021 with plans to pursue a graduate degree in communications at Missouri State University on a full-ride graduate assistantship with the department. Jaxon is enthusiastic for one last opportunity to represent their home state in the 2021 College Student Congress.
