Ally Swindell is a junior at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, majoring in International Relations with a minor in History. On campus, Ally has worked at William & Mary’s Global Research Institute researching Chinese Development Finance for AidData, is a Campus Tour Guide, a member of the Model Nations team and International Relations Club, and an associate editor for The Monitor: Journal of International Studies. During the fall 2023 semester, she studied abroad at Hertford College at Oxford University where she studied British and Chinese politics as well as Early Modern European Court Culture. She is currently interning at the U.S. Department of State in Washington D.C. while taking classes through William & Mary’s Washington Center. Originally from Bentonville, Arkansas, Ally is excited and grateful to represent her home state at the 2024 College Student Congress.
