ALASKA

Emma is a third-generation Alaskan raised on the ancestral lands of the Dena’ina in Homer and currently attending school on the lands of the lower Tanana Dena at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. There, she is a Climate Scholar and Honors student studying Political Science with a minor in Environmental Change. Her past experience includes local and state-wide organizing with Alaska Youth for Environmental Action, sustainability work through her youth seat on the Resilience and Security Advisory Commission, and professional experience as a Climate Action Fellow and Policy and Politics community organizer with the Fairbanks Climate Action Coalition. Emma has been passionate about climate and social justice from a young age and is working towards a policy career to find equitable solutions in order to create a bright and sustainable future for all. She also enjoys yoga, ethnobotany, and DIY!
